This is a terrific list! Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

Great list! I've been doing several shows a month for the past year and luckily I am doing it right (according to your list)! What a great feeling to go down the items and say "I do that!, I do that". Thanks for sharing your experise!!!

These are great points to remember! Thanks so much for sharing them! I too find it annoying when entering a booth and having them ignore you or chatting with their friends. I mean, are you there to sell or what?! :)

Terri Walton

Amen to all of these, wonderful list!!

Courtney

great points!!!! i just posted about my mistakes in my first show a week ago. I also posted some pictures of my display. I would love to have a veteran like you check it out!!

Thanks very much for this list. I have my second craft show coming up and will definately use your helpful hints!

Becca

Perfect. I have yet to do a craft show but I did just attend my first. There were a few of those 'rules' that didn't come into play. Like you said, I left the booth. *extreme introvert*

Nicely done, this is a perfect list, well explained and friendly.

Angelia

Good information. I have been doing shows for a long time, I just did a new show last week and saw many of these mistakes from some of the newer artisan vendors.

Beverly Farrington

Great tips! Craft shows scare me to death for some of those reasons :O)

Love your ideas! So true!

I'd add, mind your booth, don't wander over to engage the other vendors in aimless conversation leaving your booth empty while the other vendor tries to get rid of you, it's not that I don't want to make friends, I'm working. Talk to me while we're setting up & taking down not during the show.

amanda bel

Oh dear! I'm guilty of breaking several of these rules!!! Time to step up my game! Thanks for the wake-up call!

Sally

Wonderful list! I agree as a buyer and a seller!! Thank you!!

i just posted in your other post. heh

i actually dont agree with a lot of this. a lot of what you posted sounds more like an actual full time business, which actually a lot of felt clubbers are.. but a lot arn't. and more than 20 items? how do you know some items dont take DAYS to make? .. its interesting because today some of the most successful [ jordan crane? ] definitely had less than 20 items. but his were insanely difficult to create, his screenprints.

Marla

Great post, but I have to say that I don't entirely agree with #3 and needing to have a lot of items. I think it totally depends on what you are selling.

Thank you so much.
can you believe I have never done a craft show? I did do a craft gallery thingy & paint o sset up a mini shop for awhile, but i didn't have to be there. It was like a craft shop/fair open all year.
I so appreciate all the info...
I just wondered if I would sell ata fair?
Thanks again.
